Special Message from our District Governor Dear District 44 Members, Districts 25 and 23 had their Spring conferences this past weekend, just as we did in District 44. At their conferences, they voted on the realignments of their Districts to reflect the incorporation of the existing District 44 clubs within their respective District boundaries as previously communicated to you. Attached you will find documents to reflect these realignments. District 25 (which as of July 1 will include clubs in Abilene and San Angelo) will hold their first training for Area and Division Governors on Saturday, May 17, 2008. The training will be in Arlington, Texas from 8am-5pm. If you have questions, or if you are interested in serving in District leadership, please contact David McCallister, Incoming Lt. Governor Education and Training, at david.mccallister@gmail.com. District 23 (which as of July 1 will include the remaining clubs currently in District 44) will hold their first training for Area and Division Governors on Saturday, June 7, 2008. The training will be in Moriarty, New Mexico. If you have questions, or if you are interested in serving in District leadership, please contact Lucille Forster, Incoming District Governor, at lucille.forster@gmail.com. Both David and Lucille have been most gracious in extending, on behalf of their districts, a very warm WELCOME to all District 44 members as we look to move to our new District homes on July 1. With warm regards, Paula Wilkinson |
